브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 농심은 지난 5일 서울 서초구 귀농귀촌종합센터에서 농림축산식품부 산하 농림수산식품교육문화정보원과 2025년 ‘함께하는 청년농부’ 프로그램 MOU 체결식을 가졌다고 7일 밝혔다.
‘함께하는 청년농부’ 프로그램은 농심이 귀농청년의 정착과 영농활동을 돕기 위해 2021년 국내 식품업계 최초로 시작한 사회공헌 사업이며, 올해로 5년차를 맞았다.
농심은 이번 프로그램을 통해 청년농부 10명을 선정, 감자농사 시작부터 수확물 판매까지 영농 전 과정을 지원할 계획이다. 특히, 농사 시작 전 선급금을 지급해 안정적인 영농 여건을 제공하고, 우수 생산자와 청년농부의 멘토-멘티 결연을 통해 씨감자 보관 및 관리방법 교육, 파종시기 현장지원 등 노하우 전수 체계도 마련한다.
또한, 농심은 청년농부들이 판로 걱정 없이 감자 재배에 집중할 수 있도록 계약수량 초과 수확분에 대해서도 구매를 보장한다. 농심이 지난 4년간 청년농부 프로그램을 통해 구매한 감자량은 총 1210톤에 이른다.
농심 관계자는 “함께하는 청년농부 프로그램은 농심과 농촌이 함께 성장하는 대표 상생활동”이라며 “우리 농촌이 경쟁력을 높일 수 있도록 앞으로도 다양한 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
