또한, 경상북도, 협력병원, 공공보건의료지원단으로 구성된 경상북도공공보건의료 협력강화 추진단은 업무협약 직후인 26일 울릉군보건의료원을 방문하여 미개설된 진료과목인 신경과 등 9개 진료과에 대한 진료를 시행하며, 향후 격월로 의료진을 주기적으로 파견해 진료 공백을 최소화할 계획이다.
