계룡시, 생성형 AI 교육으로 행정 혁신 가속화

충남 계룡시는 지난달 31일 공공시설사업소에서 공직자를 대상으로 ‘AI 시대의 공직 혁신, 기회와 도전과제’를 주제로 생성형 AI 활용 교육을 실시했다고 1일 밝혔다. 

본 교육은 생성형 AI 기술에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 행정 업무에서의 실질적인 활용 능력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

지난해부터 이어온 AI 교육 프로그램의 연장선인 이번 교육은, 생성형 AI의 기본 개념과 원리를 소개하는 이론 강의부터 행정 업무 적용 사례 분석, 실습 과정까지 체계적으로 구성됐다. 특히, 공직자들이 직접 AI 도구를 활용해 실무에 적용하는 시간을 통해 기술에 대한 실질적인 이해도를 높였다.

시는 이번 교육을 통해 공직자들의 정보화 역량을 한층 더 강화하고, 생성형 AI를 활용한 행정 혁신을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다. 

또한, 2024년부터 시작된 AI 교육 과정을 점진적으로 개선해 나가며, 실무에서의 활용도를 극대화할 방침이다.

시 관계자는 “AI 기술을 공공행정에 적극 도입하는 것은 선택이 아닌 필수”라며, “생성형 AI와 같은 첨단기술을 활용해 보다 효율적인 행정 서비스를 제공하고, 시민 편의를 높일 수 있도록 지속적으로 교육과 지원을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
