브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 권성동 국민의힘 원내대표는 14일 한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리의 대선 출마가 필요하다는 일각의 주장에 대해 "당의 경선 흥행에 찬물을 끼얹는 행위"라고 반대 의사를 밝혔다.
권성동 원내대표는 이날 오후 서울 여의도 국회에서 기자들을 만난 자리에서 "출마를 개인적으로 권유하는 것 자체는 우리당의 경선을 좀 더 풍부하게 하고 또 국민의 관심을 제고시키는 데 도움이 된다"고 말했다.
다만 그는 "출마할 의사가 없는 분에게 계속해서 (출마를) 얘기하는 것은 자제하는 것이 좋다고 생각한다"고 강조했다.
한편, 이번 조기 대선에서 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 대항마가 뚜렷하지 않다는 주장이 나오며 한덕수 대행의 출마를 촉구하는 목소리가 나오고 있다.
