브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 호준석 국민의힘 대변인은 15일 “‘자유형 미집행자’ 검거 실적이 지난해 월평균 대비 30% 급감했다”며 “실형을 선고받고도 도주해 거리를 활보하는 범죄자들이 활개 치는 상황은 전적으로 ‘이재명 민주당’의 예산 난도질 탓”이라고 주장했다.
호준석 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 “‘이재명 민주당’이 검찰과 경찰의 특수활동비, 검찰 특경비 예산을 0원으로 만든 여파가 국민의 안전을 정면으로 위협하고 있다”며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 “보이스피싱 조직 검거를 위해 해외에서 활동하던 수사관들은 수사경비조차 지급받지 못해 손발이 묶였다”며 “마약이 사회 전반에 퍼지고 있음에도, 마약 범죄자 검거를 위한 ‘위장 거래’ 시도는 올해 1월 기준 0건으로 떨어졌다”고 밝혔다. 이는 건당 약 400만 원이 드는 수사비가 전액 삭감된 결과라고 설명했다.
이어 그는 “민주당은 헌정 사상 처음으로 검찰과 경찰의 특활비 및 특경비를 전액 삭감했다”며 “이는 자신들의 범죄 혐의를 수사하는 기관들을 손보려는 의도로밖에 볼 수 없다”고 주장했다.
