베트남을 방문하고 있는 최민호 세종시장이 18일(현지시각) 베트남 하노이에서 출장을 마무리하며, 지역 기업의 글로벌 시장 진출을 위한 다각적 협력 기반 조성에 나섰다.
출장 마지막 날, 최 시장은 쩐 시 타잉 하노이 시장과의 공식 면담을 통해 양 도시 간 전략적 파트너십 강화 방안을 논의했다.
두 시장은 스마트시티 조성, 산업경제 협력, 인재 및 문화 교류, 관광산업 활성화 등 다방면에 걸쳐 실질적인 협력 가능성을 모색했다.
이어 열린 베트남 진출 한국 기업인 간담회에서는 세종시 소재 기업들의 해외 진출 시 겪는 애로사항을 청취하고, 향후 지원 방안을 구체적으로 협의했다. 현지 진출 기업들과의 협력 네트워크 구축을 위한 실무적 방안들도 논의되며 기업 현장의 목소리를 적극 반영했다.
특히 최 시장은 세종시에 본사를 두고 베트남에 지사를 운영 중인 비전세미콘 하노이 사업장을 직접 방문해 운영 현황을 살펴보고, 현지 직원들을 격려했다. 현재 하노이에는 반도체 등 첨단 제조업 분야를 중심으로 세종시 기반 기업들이 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
또한 이날 최 시장은 주베트남 대한민국 대사 초청 간담회에도 참석해, 양국 간 경제·문화 협력 확대를 위한 외교적 채널과의 협조를 당부했다. 그는 “베트남은 세종시 기업에게 중요한 글로벌 파트너”라며 “지속 가능한 국제 교류 기반 위에서 기업 성장과 지역경제 활성화를 동시에 이끌겠다”고 밝혔다.
