진주시, 산사태 취약지 전수 점검 완료

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 여름철 집중호우에 대비해 산사태취약지 157개소와 사방사업지 7개소에 대해 전수 점검을 실시했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 진주시 산림정원과와 읍면동이 함께 교차 방식으로 진행했으며, 주민 대피계획과 대피소 관리카드를 현행화했다. 

이번 점검 결과에 따라 산사태위험지역 안내 입간판 25개를 설치했으며, 사방사업이 필요한 12개소는 경남도에 오는 2026년 사방사업 대상지로 신청했다.

사방사업은 산사태 예방을 위한 국가사업으로 올해는 산지사방 1ha, 계류보전 1km, 사방댐 5개소가 추진되고 있다. 

진주시는 현재 추진 중인 7개소의 사업지에 대해 우기 전인 오는 6월까지 완료될 수 있도록 조치하고, 지장목 제거 등의 정비도 마쳤다.

진주시 관계자는 “여름철 자연재난 피해를 막기 위해 지속적인 점검과 예방조치를 이어가겠다”며 “경남도와 합동점검을 통해 취약요인을 해소해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
