브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자가 삼성 TV 플러스에 ‘SMTOWN’ 채널을 론칭하며 콘텐츠 경쟁력 강화에 나섰다.
예능, 스포츠, 키즈, 영화 등 다양한 장르로 콘텐츠를 확장해 온 삼성 TV 플러스는 이번 SM엔터테인먼트와 파트너십을 통해 FAST 업계에서 처음으로 ‘SMTOWN’ 채널을 론칭하며 리더십을 강화했다.
삼성 TV 플러스는 삼성전자 TV, 모바일 기기에서 다양한 콘텐츠를 무료로 즐길 수 있는 광고 기반 무료 스트리밍(Free Ad-supported Streaming TV, FAST) 서비스다.
‘SMTOWN’ 채널에서는 △에스파(aespa) △엔시티(NCT) △라이즈(RIIZE) 등 SM엔터테인먼트의 대표 아티스트들이 출연한 음악, 뮤직비디오, 스페셜 클립 등 다채로운 콘텐츠를 볼 수 있다.
이를 통해 삼성 TV 플러스 사용자들은 이번 ‘SMTOWN’ 채널에서 좋아하는 SM 아티스트들의 콘텐츠를 언제 어디서나 즐길 수 있다.
‘SMTOWN’ 채널은 국내를 비롯해 미국, 영국, 프랑스, 인도 등 전 세계 18개국에서 동시 서비스된다.
