대전과학기술대학교(총장 이효인, 이하 대전과기대)가 대전생활과학고등학교(교장 신익수, 이하 대전생활과학고)와 손잡고 지역 산업을 이끌어갈 맞춤형 인재 양성에 본격적으로 나선다.
대전과기대는 19일 교내 혜천관 대회의실에서 대전생활과학고와 ‘중소기업 특성화고 인력양성사업’ 및 ‘중소기업 계약학과’ 사업의 효과적 연계를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 고등학교와 대학교, 그리고 지역 기업 간의 상생 기반을 마련하고, 학생들의 진로 설계와 취업 경쟁력 제고를 위한 실질적인 지원체계를 구축하고자 추진됐다.
양 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲고교–대학–기업 간 협력체계 공동 구축 ▲진로 및 직무 역량 강화를 위한 인프라 및 인적 자원 공유 ▲우수기업 발굴 및 현장 중심 교육 프로그램 개발 ▲참여 학생에 대한 지도·감독 및 운영체계 개선 ▲기타 상호 협력이 필요한 사업 추진 등 폭넓은 분야에서 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다.
이효인 대전과기대 총장은 “이번 협약은 고교 단계부터 대학, 나아가 산업 현장과 유기적으로 연계된 실무형 인재 양성의 출발점”이라며 “실질적인 직무 능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성함으로써 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 대학의 모델을 만들어가겠다”고 강조했다.
신익수 대전생활과학고 교장도 “학생들이 학교 교육을 넘어 실질적인 진로 설계와 취업 기회를 접할 수 있게 되어 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 교육과 산업을 잇는 가교 역할을 충실히 수행하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 계기로 양 기관은 학생들에게 ‘일과 학습의 병행’을 가능케 하는 체계적인 교육 환경을 조성하고, 이를 통해 개인의 성장은 물론 지역 산업 발전에도 실질적으로 기여하겠다는 공동의 비전을 제시했다.
