(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 오는 26일부터 31일까지 4박 6일 일정으로 인도네시아와 말레이시아에 무역사절단을 파견한다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 이번 무역사절단 파견에는강범석 청장이 직접 해외로 나가, 기술력을 갖춘 서구 중소기업의 제품을 홍보하고 적극적으로 투자 유치에 나설 예정이다.
서구는 코로나 이후 2년 동안 무역 사절단을 파견해 오고 있다.
2023년에는 9개 중소기업체가 태국·베트남에 파견돼 322만 달러의 계약이 추진됐고, 2024년에는 10개 기업이 키르기스스탄·카자흐스탄에 사절단으로 참여해 42만 달러 상당의 양해각서(MOU)를 현장 체결했다.
현지 수출 상담 이후 이뤄진, 참가기업의 2024년 총 계약 추진액은 1,737만 달러 규모에 달했다.
올해는 8개 중소기업이 사절단에 참가, 수출상담회를 개최할 예정이다.
앞서 지난 14일 참가기업과 구 관계자들은 ‘2025년 인도네시아-말레이시아 무역사절단 파견’ 업무협의회를 개최하여, 두 국가의 산업 및 경제 현황 등을 공유하고 업종별 참여 구매기업(바이어)을 확인했다.
서구 관계자는 “민간 기업이 개별적으로 판로 개척을 하기보다, 지역의 이름을 내걸고 기관장이 함께 수출 상담에 나서면 신뢰도가 훨씬 높아진다”며 “구청장을 비롯한 모든 파견 직원이 행사장 곳곳을 누비며 관내 기업 수출 성과를 내 올 것”이라고 전했다.
