(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 경인교육대학교 인천 평생교육원이 2025년 5월 30일부터 12주 간의 여름학기 수업을 진행할 예정이다.
수강신청은 5월 20일부터 5월 26일까지 평생교육원 홈페이지를 통해 신청하거나 전화로도 가능하다.
이번 여름학기 평생교육원에서는 문학교양과정(문예창작, 동양고전읽기), 어학과정(영어, 일본어회화 등), 예술교양과정(한국화, 민화, 서양화, 수채화, 도예, 통기타, 성악교실 등), 생활·스포츠(한국무용, 발레, 요가, 라인댄스, 골프교실), 민간자격과정(어린이영어지도사, 심리상담사) 등 65개 프로그램을 운영하여 지역사회 주민들(일반 성인과 대학생 포함)에게 다양한 문화•예술 프로그램과 취미활동 및 전문자격증 취득의 기회를 제공할 예정이다.
여름학기 신규 강좌로는 시니어 모델 베이직 클래스/마스터 클래스가 마련되어 있다.
한편, 평생교육원은 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울(3개월 단위) 학기제로 연간 상시 운영하고 있고, 그 중 국가평생교육진흥원의 평생학습계좌제에 등록된 강좌도 6개 포함되어 있다.
특히, 인천형 평생교육 이용권(바우처) 사용기관으로 등록되어 보다 많은 지역 주민들이 평생교육원을 이용할 수 있도록 노력하고 있다.
또, 경인교육대학교는 다양한 평생교육원 교육과정 이외에도 인천시민대학 처음시민캠퍼스 운영, 계양구 대학연계 평생교육 활성화 사업 등 지역의 유관 기관과의 활발한 교류와 협력을 통해 지역주민과 함께 공유하고 성장하는 지역의 중심대학, 지역의 평생학습 기관으로 자리매김하고 있다.

또한, 경인교육대학교 경기캠퍼스에서 오늘 5월 20일부터 6월 6일까지 3주간에 걸쳐 ‘2025 공공외교 축제’를 개최한다.
이번 행사는 국제사회 속 공공외교의 의미를 재조명하고, 학생과 지역사회가 함께 세계와 소통할 수 있는 장을 마련하기 위해 기획됐다.
이번 행사는 경인교육대학교 국제교류대외협력센터, 지리적상상력연구소(GIRI), 사단법인 그레이트지오그래픽소사이어티(GGS)가 공동 주관한다.
교육과 외교, 지리와 환경을 아우르는 다학제적 협력을 통해 축제의 전문성과 실천력을 높였다.
공공외교 축제는 1주차 ‘기초 워밍업’(5.20.~5.21.), 2주차 ‘해외지역 전문가 특강’(5.27.~ 5.29.), 3주차 ‘세계환경의 날 캠페인 행사’(6.2~6.6.)로 구성된다.
특히 2주차에는 서울대 강성용 교수(남아시아), 경인교대 김이재 교수(동남아시아), 서강대 박현도 교수(중동 및 이슬람) 등 저명한 지역 전문가들이 특별 강연을 펼친다.
