(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구 부평문화원이 21일, 부평두레놀이(부평두레놀이보존회)가 인천광역시 대표로 ‘제66회 한국민속예술제’에 출전하게 됐다고 밝혔다.
부평문화원에 따르면, 한국민속예술제는 문화체육관광부가 주최하며 전국 각지에서 모인 민속 예술팀들이 참가해 그들의 전통과 예술성을 선보이는 권위 있는 대회이다.
올해는 오는 26일부터 29일까지 충청북도 영동군 소재 영동국악엑스포장에서 열린다.
‘부평두레놀이’는 인천 부평 지역의 전통 농경문화를 바탕으로 한 민속예술로, 공동체 협력과 풍요를 기원하는 농민들의 삶과 정신을 담고 있다.
부평문화원의 문화재 지정추진사업을 통해 지난 2015년 ‘인천광역시 무형유산’으로 지정된 바 있으며, 이번 대회를 통해 지역 고유의 문화적 가치를 재조명한 무대로 관객들과 만날 예정이다.
이와 관련, 예술감독을 맡고 있는 김정태 씨는 전통과 현대를 아우르는 독창적인 연출력으로 국악계에서 주목 받아온 인물이다.
특히 전통 연희와 지역서사, 현대 무대미학을 접목한 작업으로 국내외에서 다양한 성과를 이뤄냈으며, 이번 무대를 통해 지역 공동체의 생생한 목소리와 예술적 완성도를 동시에 선보일 계획이다.
