경북교육청, ‘2025년 울릉창의융합캠프’ 성황리 마쳐

【브레이크뉴스 경북】전종환 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 22일부터 23일까지 울릉중학교에서 ‘2025년 울릉창의융합캠프’를 성공적으로 개최했다. 울릉군 내 초·중·고 학생 350여 명이 참여해 창의적 사고와 문제해결 능력을 키우는 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다.

‘생각을 디자인하는 울릉창의융합캠프’를 주제로 열린 이번 행사에서는 과학, 수학, 정보, 메이커 분야의 다양한 프로그램이 진행됐다. 첫째 날은 과학·수학·정보 관련 12개 창의융합 체험 부스와 가족이 함께하는 ‘가족 천체관측 교실’이 운영됐다. 둘째 날에는 과학·수학·메이커 중심 탐구형 수업을 통해 학생들이 일상 문제를 직접 탐구하고 해결하는 기회를 가졌다.

특히 광복 80주년을 맞아 울릉도와 독도를 방문 중인 중국 칭다오 해랑학교(한인 학교) 학생과 교사 50여 명도 캠프에 참여해 울릉 지역 학생들과 함께 창의융합 활동을 체험하며 대한민국 교육 문화를 공유했다.

이번 캠프는 경북교육청 주최, 경상북도교육청과학원을 비롯한 23개 체험센터가 공동 주관하고 울릉교육지원청이 협조해 지역 교육 공동체가 힘을 모은 의미 있는 행사로 평가받고 있다.

더불어 2028년 개관 예정인 ‘울릉미래교육센터’와 연계해 울릉도의 창의융합 교육 기반을 더욱 강화하고 지속 가능한 지역 교육 모델로 자리 잡을 전망이다.

류시경 경북교육청 창의인재과장은 “울릉도 학생들이 다양한 창의융합 활동을 통해 미래 역량을 키우고, 가족과 함께 과학의 즐거움을 나눈 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며 “앞으로도 교육 소외 지역 학생들을 위한 기회를 꾸준히 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) successfully held the ‘2025 Ulleung Creative Convergence Camp’ at Ulleung Middle School from the 22nd to the 23rd. On the second day, students had the opportunity to directly explore and solve everyday problems through science, mathematics, and maker-centered inquiry-based classes.

In particular, approximately 50 students and teachers from Qingdao Haerang School (Korean school) in China, who were visiting Ulleungdo and Dokdo to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation, also participated in the camp and shared the educational culture of the Republic of Korea by experiencing creative convergence activities with students in the Ulleung area.

This camp is evaluated as a meaningful event where the local education community gathered strength, hosted by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, co-hosted by 23 experience centers including the Gyeongbuk Office of Education Science Institute, and supported by the Ulleung Office of Education.

In addition, in conjunction with the ‘Ulleung Future Education Center’ scheduled to open in 2028, it is expected to further strengthen Ulleungdo’s creative convergence education foundation and establish itself as a sustainable local education model.

Ryu Si-kyung, head of the Creative Talent Division of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, “It was a meaningful time where Ulleungdo students developed future capabilities through various creative convergence activities and shared the joy of science with their families,” and added, “We will continue to steadily expand opportunities for students in educationally underprivileged areas in the future.”
