(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교가 지난 26일, 이인재 신임 총장이 취임 후 처음으로 교직원과의 공식 소통의 자리인 ‘소통 동행 비전설명회’를 개최하여 법인 4기 주요 정책 방향과 대학의 중장기 비전을 공유하고, 교직원들과의 자유로운 질의응답등 소통하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
인천대에 따르면, 이날 우선 이 총장은 인천대학교가 나아갈 3대 주요 비전으로 혁신 교육, 연구중심 대학, 지역 대표 대학 이란 3개의 키워드를 제시하면서 “학생이 행복한 대학이 좋은 대학”이라며 학사과정 전반의 개편을 통해 학생 중심의 교육환경을 새롭게 조성하고 기초학문을 토대로 첨단분야 등에 대한 연구 역량을 활발하게 전개함은 물론 공공의대 설립과 제물포캠퍼스 활용 등을 통해 시민의 지지와 사랑을 받는 지역의 거점대학으로 위상을 확고히 하겠다는 구상을 밝혔다.
한편, 이러한 목표들을 달성하기 위해 교육부서 개편, 대학원 기능 강화, 산학협력 기능 확대, 국제협력처 신설 등을 포함하는 빠른 조직개편을 실시하겠다고 밝혔다.
