(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 9월까지 관내 초등학교 고학년 학생들을 대상으로 ‘환경보건 동행학교’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, ‘환경보건 동행학교’는 환경보건 안전 강화를 위한 교육 사업으로, 인천시가 교육청, 인천환경보건센터, 인천환경교육센터와 협력해 환경유해인자에 대한 노출을 줄이고, 환경성 질환을 사전에 예방하기 추진하는 사업이다.
올해는 관내 초등학교 10개교, 총 41개 학급, 1,000여 명의 3학년부터 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 교육이 진행된다.
지난 5월 22일에는 인천갑룡초등학교에서 ‘환경보건 동행학교’ 프로그램이 진행됐다.
이날 교육에서는 학생들이 일상에서 자주 접하는 물건들로부터 발생하는 환경유해인자를 알아보고, 이들로부터의 노출을 줄이는 방법을 배우는 기회가 마련됐다.
특히, ‘환경유해인자송’ 부르기, 놀이활동, OX 퀴즈 게임 등 참여형 수업 방식이 큰 호응을 얻으며 학생들의 관심과 참여를 이끌어냈다.
