(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 28일, 2025년 본예산 대비 2,168억 원(4.1%) 증가한 총 5조 5,143억 원 규모의 제1회 추가경정예산(안)을 편성했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 추경은 중앙정부의 이전수입 1,052억 원과 내부거래 1,194억 원이 증액되면서 편성됐다.
반면, 지방자치단체 및 기타 이전수입 5억 원, 자체수입 3억 원, 순세계잉여금 등 70억 원은 감액되어, 총 2,168억 원의 세입을 증액했다.
인천시교육청은 인건비와 학교 신.증설 등에 필요한 예산을 우선 반영하고, 연내 집행이 어려운 사업 예산을 감액하는 방식으로 재원을 마련하여 학생 교육과 직결된 예산을 최대한 확보하는데 주력했다.
이번 추경안에는 학생들의 미래 역량을 강화하고 교육 환경을 개선하기 위한 다양한 사업이 포함됐다.
가칭)청소년평화교육센터 건립 31억 원, EBS 연계 인공지능 교수학습 플랫폼 구축 24억 원, 2026년 전국기능경기대회 대비 학교 경기장 조성 16억 원, 수업 개선을 위한 현장 교육지원 15억 원 등이 편성됐다.
또, 강화교육발전특구사업 31억 원, 가족체류형 농촌유학 프로그램 3억 원, 늘봄학교 운영 14억 원, 거점형 돌봄센터 구축 22억 원, 유보통합 지원 44억 원, 장애학생 지원인력 인건비 46억 원 등도 편성되어 포용적 교육환경 조성에 힘을 실었다.
교육시설 개선에도 미래형 학교 공간 조성 178억 원, 다목적 강당 증축 109억 원, 학교 내진 보강 51억 원, 학교 증개축 28억 원, 냉난방 개선 등 시설환경개선 205억 원이 투입된다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “이번 제1회 추가경정예산안은 학생 맞춤형 교육 및 미래 교육환경 조성 등 학교 현장의 목소리를 담아 건전하고 안정적으로 재정이 운용되도록 예산을 편성했다”고 설명했다.
이번 예산안은 오는 6월 5일 개회하는 제302회 인천시의회 정례회 심의를 거쳐, 6월 30일 본회의에서 최종 확정될 예정이다.
