세종시교육청이 특수교육대상학생의 원활한 진학을 돕기 위해 학부모를 대상으로 한 맞춤형 설명회를 열었다.
설명회는 5월 28일, 세종시교육청 2층 대강당에서 개최되었으며, 유치원부터 고등학교까지 진학을 앞둔 특수교육대상학생의 학부모 약 90여 명이 참석해 큰 관심을 보였다.
이번 설명회는 2026학년도에 자녀가 상급학교로 진학하는 특수교육대상학생 학부모들이 진학 경로를 명확히 이해하고, 보다 나은 교육 환경을 선택할 수 있도록 실질적인 정보를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다.
설명회에서는 특수학교와 일반학교 내 특수학급의 차이점 ,학교별 교육과정 및 지원 체계 ,진학 절차와 일정 등 다양한 내용을 다루며, 학부모들의 이해를 돕는 데 중점을 뒀다.
특히 현직 특수학교와 일반학교 특수학급 교사가 직접 강사로 나서, 현장 경험을 바탕으로 현실적인 조언을 전달해 호응을 얻었다.
2026학년도 상급학교 진학을 위한 원서 접수는 오는 6월 23일 초등학교 진학 예정자를 시작으로 순차적으로 진행된다. 유치원은 6월 30일부터 7월 25일까지, 중학교는 7월 28일부터 8월 22일까지, 고등학교는 8월 25일부터 9월 12일까지 접수를 받을 예정이다.
설명회 말미에는 질의응답 시간이 마련돼, 학부모들이 평소 궁금해하던 실질적인 문제들을 현장에서 직접 묻고 답을 들을 수 있는 소통의 장이 펼쳐졌다.
한 학부모는 “막연했던 진학 준비가 한결 구체화되었다”며 설명회가 큰 도움이 되었다고 소감을 전했다.
