[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 13일부터 열리는 ‘2025 대한민국 정원산업박람회’를 앞두고, 행사 주요 장소인 진주실내체육관(초장동) 일원에서 민·관 합동 안전점검을 실시했다고12일 밝혔다.
이번 점검은 박람회 기간 중 많은 관람객이 몰릴 것으로 예상됨에 따라 사전에 시설물의 안전 상태를 면밀히 확인하고, 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 추진됐다.
점검에는 진주시를 비롯해 진주경찰서, 진주소방서, 한국전기안전공사 경남서부지사, 대한건축사협회 진주시건축사회 등이 참여해 행사장 구조물과 전기 설비, 관람객 동선 등을 중점적으로 살폈다.
또 현장점검에서 지난 4일 열린 ‘정원산업박람회 안전관리계획 심의’에서 논의된 인파 관리 및 비상 대응 체계 등 주요 사항이 현장에서 실제로 잘 반영되고 있는지를 집중 점검했다.
아울러 시는 박람회 기간 동안 안전요원 추가 배치, 임시주차장 확보, 셔틀버스 운영, 축제장 주변 시설물 추가 점검 등에 대해서도 안전대책을 마련해 최선을 다 한다는 방침이다.
진주시 관계자는 “점검 과정에서 발견된 보완사항은 신속히 조치해 시민과 방문객이 안심하고 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 준비에 최선을 다 하겠다”고 말했다.
