(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 경인교육대학교가 최근 인천시청 장미홀에서, 관내 7개 대학 및 인천시청·인천시교육청 등과 함께 ‘인천형 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(i-RISE)’의 성공적 추진을 위해 손을 맞잡았다고 밝혔다.
지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE, Regional Innovation System & Education)는 지역의 핵심 인적·물적자원 집약체인 대학이 지역을 가장 잘 아는 광역지자체와 협력적 동반관계를 구축하여 지역의 혁신과 발전을 이끄는 체계이다.
경인교육대학교는 지난 13일, 두 건의 업무 협약을 체결했다.
첫 번째 협약은 ‘인천형 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(i-RISE)’ 업무 협약으로, 인천시청, 라이즈(RISE) 전담기관인 인천테크노파크와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고 지역의 발전 및 인재 양성 등을 위해 공동 협력하기로 했다.
두 번째 협약은 ‘늘봄학교 대학 연계 활성화 지원’업무 협약으로, 인천시청· 인천시교육청, 관내 7개 대학(경인교육대학교, 경인여자대학교, 안양대학교 인천캠퍼스, 인천대학교, 인하대학교, 재능대학교, 청운대학교 인천캠퍼스) 및 인천테크노파크와 협약을 체결했다.
해당 사업은 교육부의 국가지정 과제로, 경인교육대학교가 동 사업의 주관대학으로 선정되어 라이즈(RISE) 기본 사업비 10억 원에 추가 국비 43억을 받아 연간 총 사업비 53억원으로 인천 지역 내 늘봄학교 맞춤형 교육프로그램 개발을 추진한다.
경인교육대학교는 동 사업을 통하여 2025학년도에는 총 100여개의 프로그램을 개발하고 1400명의 늘봄강사를 양성하여, 인천 관내 초등 늘봄교실 1,000개 학급 약 1만 5천명의 학생들을 지원할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
김왕준 총장은 “인천형 라이즈의 성공적인 추진을 위하여, 대학의 교육과 연구 역량을 지역과 나누며 지역 발전을 위해 적극적으로 협력할 것”이며, 늘봄학교 대학 연계 활성화 지원 사업과 관련해서는 “인천광역시 등 협약기관과 긴밀히 소통하고 협력하여 우리 초등학생들에게 더 나은 교육 환경을 제공하고, 학부모님들의 돌봄 부담이 경감될 수 있게 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
