【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시가 한여름 무더위를 식혀줄 도심 속 대표 물놀이 명소인 ‘침촌근린공원 물놀이터’를 오는 7월 1일부터 8월 31일까지 두 달간 운영한다고 밝혔다.

침촌근린공원 물놀이터는 매년 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 어린이 전용 야외 물놀이 시설로, 올해도 하루 두 차례 운영된다. 운영 시간은 오전 10시부터 12시, 오후 2시부터 4시까지로, 회차당 80명씩 하루 총 160명이 무료로 이용할 수 있다.
이용 편의를 위해 온라인 사전예약제가 시행되며, 첫 예약은 오는 23일 오전 10시부터 가능하다. 올해부터는 예약 후 입장하지 않는 ‘노쇼’ 발생 시나 정원이 미달될 경우 현장 선착순으로 추가 입장이 허용된다.
포항시 푸른도시사업단 공원과가 직접 관리하는 물놀이터는 어린이들의 안전하고 쾌적한 물놀이를 위해 다양한 안전·위생 조치를 마련했다. 매일 상수도 교체 및 간이 수질검사를 실시하고, 2주에 한 번 정밀 수질검사도 병행된다. 또한 전문 교육을 이수한 안전요원 2명이 상시 배치돼 어린이들의 안전을 책임진다.
시설 점검과 청소를 위해 매주 월요일과 목요일은 휴장하며, 우천 등 기상 상황에 따라 탄력적으로 운영될 예정이다. 신강수 푸른도시사업단장은 “철저한 시설 및 수질 점검으로 시민들이 안전하게 물놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 준비하고 있다”며 “이용객들도 안전수칙을 잘 지켜 쾌적한 물놀이장 조성에 협조해 달라”고 당부했다.
한편 포항시는 침촌근린공원 물놀이터를 시작으로 관내 주요 야외 물놀이장을 순차적으로 개장할 예정이다. 형산강 야외 물놀이장과 오천체육문화타운 내 포은 어린이 물놀이터는 7월 12일 개장 예정이며, 도음산 산림문화수련장 숲속 물놀이장, 양덕 한마음다목적공원 어린이 물놀이터, 기계면 농경철기문화테마공원 물놀이터는 7월 15일경 개장을 앞두고 있다.
