(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 보건환경연구원이 23일, 연구원의 주요 업무와 보건·환경 정보를 시민들이 쉽고 흥미롭게 이해할 수 있도록 홍보 웹툰 ‘이음이들의 연구원 일지'를 누리집을 통해 공개한다고 밝혔다.
보건환경연구원에 따르면, 웹툰은 복잡한 개념이나 전문적인 정보를 시각적으로 표현해 일반 시민들이 직관적이고 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 돕는 매체로, 전달 효과가 뛰어나고 정보가 오랫동안 기억되는 장점이 있다.
이번에 공개한 ‘이음이들의 연구원 일지’는 이러한 만화 형식의 특성을 적극 활용해 연구원이 수행하는 다양한 업무와 시민의 생활과 밀접한 보건·환경 분야 주제를 친근하게 풀어낸다.
웹툰은 평소 웹툰 창작에 관심과 능력이 있는 수의연구사 정철 주무관이 직접 맡아 제작하며, 연구원의 현안과 소식 등을 담아 월 1회 이상 정기적으로 연재할 예정이다.
웹툰은 인천시 보건환경연구원 누리집 ‘연구원 소개 - 이음이들의 연구원 일지’ 메뉴에서 볼 수 있다.
곽완순 시 보건환경연구원장은 “시민들에게 어렵고 복잡할 수 있는 보건·환경·동물 관련 지식을 흥미롭고 쉽게 전달해 인천 시민의 알 권리 충족과 삶의 질 향상에 기여하길 바란다”고 말했다.
