[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 24일 여름철 복지 사각지대에 놓인 위기가구 발굴을 위해 ‘위기가구 신고포상금 제도’를 적극 홍보하고 나섰다.
시는 전기·가스·수도 요금 체납 등 공공 빅데이터와 AI 기반 초기상담 시스템을 활용해 취약계층을 조기에 파악하고, 읍면동 현수막 게시 등을 통해 제도를 홍보 중이다.
위기가구 신고포상금 제도는 주변의 도움이 필요한 사람을 발견해 신고하면, 시에서 상담 후 적절한 복지 서비스를 연계하고 신고자에게 포상금을 지급하는 제도다.
신고 된 가구가 기초생활보장, 차상위계층, 한부모가정, 긴급지원 대상자로 선정될 경우, 신고자에게 건당 5만원의 포상금이 지급된다.
하지만 신고자가 해당 가구의 가족이거나 복지 관련법에 따른 신고의무자인 경우에는 포상금 지급 대상에서 제외된다.
포상금은 연간 최대30만 원까지 받을 수 있으며, 복지 사각지대 발굴에 시민의 관심과 참여를 확대하는 데 목적이 있다.
