Cologne, Germany – YMK Films proudly announces the completion of Prayer Cologne (Episode 23) in the critically acclaimed Prayer International Series. The next installment, Prayer Guadalajara (Episode 24), is currently in development as the series continues its global journey through faith, resilience, and local culture.
Prayer Cologne stars Julia Katharina Stark and Andrea Herrguth, two talented local actresses from Cologne. The episode tells the story of two women—one faithful, one disillusioned—who cross paths while quietly searching for meaning, memory, and healing in a city still recovering from the scars of World War II. Set against the stunning backdrop of Cologne’s iconic locations—including the majestic Cologne Cathedral (Dom), the historic Old Town, Tunnel und Schal, the Basilica of St. Mary in the Capitol, “Paradiesgarten,” Open Air Kino Köln, Chocolat Café & Museum, and the Maritim—the episode explores inner restoration mirrored by the city's own journey.

The first Mexico episode, Prayer Monterrey, was released on YouTube one month ago. Creator Young Man Kang is eager to produce more episodes set in Mexico..
Following this emotional and visually captivating episode, YMK Films is excited to announce three new episodes to be filmed in Mexico:
- Prayer Guadalajara (Episode 24)
- Prayer La Palma (Episode 25)
- Prayer Sahuayo (Episode 26)
Filming begins the first week of August in Mexico.
Prayer Guadalajara is inspired by the powerful true story of Marcela Solana, also known as MARCH—a Guadalajara-born writer and visual artist (b. 1988). Her autobiographical book Entrégala a la bestia (Deliver Her to the Beast) recounts her real-life struggle with black magic, spiritual trauma, and healing. Her story of survival and self-discovery serves as the foundation of this deeply personal new episode.

Prayer La Palma will center around the family story of Alma Castaneda, a Mexican-American actor and producer. Set in her hometown of La Palma, this episode reflects on a sacred rock said to bear the image of Jesus and continues the series’ exploration of faith, roots, and transformation.
Prayer Sahuayo dives into mystical legends surrounding Jesus and the Virgin Mary, culminating in the vibrant local festival in early August—one of Mexico’s largest religious celebrations.
Since its inception, the Prayer International Series has told spiritual and socially resonant stories from more than 23 cities across four continents, including Istanbul, Rome, Seoul, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Rio and Montreal. Filmed entirely on mobile phones in vertical format, the series breaks creative boundaries while remaining deeply accessible and authentic. It has received numerous awards and nominations from international film festivals.
“The series' commitment to inclusivity, local collaboration, and spiritual storytelling makes it a compelling and relevant project for today's global audience,” says creator Young Man Kang.
As it expands, the Prayer International Series continues to serve as a global anthology of spiritual reflection—sharing emotionally rich, socially conscious stories that speak to the universal human quest for meaning, healing, and connection.
