(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 25일, 현지시간 지난 6월 16일부터 19일까지 스코틀랜드 글래스고에서 개최된 ‘탄소중립도시연합(CNCA, Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance)’ 창립 10주년 총회에 참석해, 기후위기 대응과 지속 가능한 도시 전환을 위한 글로벌 논의를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 국내 최초로 CNCA에 가입한 도시로 주목받은 인천시는, 이번 총회에서 전 세계 23개 회원 도시 대표들과 함께 탄소중립 실현을 위한 전략을 공유하고 공동 실천 방안을 모색하는 뜻깊은 자리를 가졌다.
특히, 인천시는 ‘2045 탄소중립 로드맵’과 5대 분야 온실가스 감축 전략, 시민주도 실천기반 등을 발표하고 국제협력 방안을 공유해 참석자들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.
