[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 25일 오후 1시경 공무원을 사칭한 보이스피싱으로 보이는 상황 발생으로 관내 소상공인의 신속한 제보로 피해를 예방했다고 밝혔다.
합천군 소재 A업체 대표 B씨는 자신이 운영하는 업체로 ‘군청에서 심장 제세동기 구매를 위한 계약이 필요하다’는 연락을 받은 뒤, 해당 연락에 의심을 품고 곧바로 군청 행정과를 방문해 사실 여부를 확인했다.
군에 따르면, 제보자가 받은 문자에는 합천군청 직원을 사칭한 명함 이미지와 계약 관련 내용을 포함한 메시지가 함께 첨부되어 있었으며, 이는 보이스피싱을 위한 사전 단계로 추정된다.
군은 즉시 해당 내용을 합천경찰서 수사과 수사지원팀에 수사 의뢰하고, 유사 사례 재발 방지를 위해 일자리경제과를 통해 지역 소상공인에게 주의를 당부했다.
특히, 합천군 소상공인연합회를 통해 회원들에게 관련 사실을 전파하고 추가 피해 예방에 나섰다.
군 관계자는 “군청이나 관공서에서는 전화나 문자로 제품 구매를 요구하거나 계약을 진행하지 않는다”며, “이와 유사한 사례를 접할 경우 즉시 경찰서나 군청에 문의해줄 것”을 당부했다.
