(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 26일, 강화교육지원청이 지역 내 택시조합 2곳과 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, ‘강화학생성공택시’ 시범 운영에 본격 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 사업은 교통 여건이 열악한 강화지역 소규모학교 학생들의 교육활동 참여를 돕기 위한 것으로, 택시조합 및 개인택시지부와의 협력을 통해 추진됐다.
교육청은 운전자 대상 범죄경력 조회, 신원 확인, 정기 안전교육 등을 실시해 안전한 운영 기반을 마련했다.
‘강화학생성공택시’는 인천시교육청의 강화교육발전특구 정책과 연계한 교육복지 모델로, 결이음교육과정 ‘같이’ 수업, 학생자치활동 등 다양한 교육활동 참여를 위한 학생 이동을 지원한다.
전교생 60명 이하 소규모학교를 대상으로 하며, 학교에 지급된 교통카드로 일정 금액 내 택시를 이용할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
이용 방식은 학교가 사전 예약을 통해 협약 택시를 배정받고, 교사가 학생과 동행해 교육 장소로 이동하는 형태다.
택시 운전자는 학생의 안전벨트 착용을 확인하고 운행 후 영수증을 발급하며, 학교는 이를 바탕으로 사용일지를 작성하고 연말 정산을 진행한다.
강화지역 택시조합 관계자는 “학생들의 안전한 교육활동 참여를 지원하게 돼 기쁘다”며 “운전자들도 본 사업의 공공성을 인식하고 안전한 운행에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
