[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제를 대표하는 해양관광 랜드마크로 자리매김할 프리미엄 복합 관광시설인 ‘거제 신라모노그램(가칭)’ 기공식이 23일 거제시 지세포항 수변공원에서 개최됐다.
이나 기공식은 2020년 11월 입지 분석 및 사업성 검토를 통해 약 5년 만에 본격 추진됐다.
거제 신라모노그램은 대지면적 5만7,671㎡, 연면적 11만820㎡ 규모로, 지하 7층부터 지상 21층까지 조성된다.
콘도미니엄 393실과 호텔 252실을 갖춘 복합 관광숙박시설로, 5성급 글로벌 호텔 수준의 로비와 객실을 비롯해 실내·외 수영장(인피니티풀, 캐스케이드), 올데이 다이닝 레스토랑, 루프탑 바, 비어가든, 산책로 등 다양한 편의시설이 들어설 계획이다.

시행사인 아레포즈거제는 2022년 6월 글로벌 수준의 운영 품질과 브랜드 신뢰도 확보를 위해 호텔신라와 운영 양해각서를 체결했으며, 같은 해 10월에는 경상남도, 거제시와 대규모 관광숙박시설 설치를 위한 투자협약을 체결했다.
이후 2023년 10월 건축 인허가 절차를 완료하며 본격적인 사업 추진 단계에 들어섰다.
또한 2025년 11월에는 기획재정부가 추진한 지역활성화펀드 사업에 선정되어 안정적인 재원확보는 물론 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 수 있는 지속가능한 사업 기반을 마련했다. 해당 펀드는 IM에셋자산운용이 운용을 맡는다.
