【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이하 대구행복진흥원)은 지난 26일 오후 2시, 대구행복기숙사 1층 교육장에서 ‘여성친화도시 시민참여단 워크숍’을 개최했다.
이번 워크숍은 달서구·수성구·달성군에서 활동 중인 여성친화도시 시민참여단 70여 명이 한자리에 모여 처음으로 네트워크를 형성한 자리였다. 특히 여성친화도시 신규 지정을 준비 중인 달성군이 함께 참여하며 시민 주도의 젠더 거버넌스 실현에 뜻을 모았다.
‘여성친화도시’는 여성과 남성이 지역 정책과정에 균형 있게 참여하고, 여성의 역량 강화, 돌봄, 안전이 지역사회 전반에서 실현되도록 정책을 운영하는 도시로 여성가족부가 지정한다. 대구에서는 현재 달서구와 수성구가 지정돼 있으며, 달성군은 지정 절차를 준비 중이다.
이날 시민참여단은 허지원 젠더발전소 대표의 ‘성인지적 도시를 만드는 젠더리스 언어사전’ 강연을 통해, 일상 속 언어를 젠더 관점에서 되짚어보며 성평등 의식을 높이는 시간을 가졌다.
배기철 대구행복진흥원 이사장은 “시민참여단 여러분이 안전하고 성평등한 지역사회를 만들기 위해 현장에서 직접 뛰고 계심에 깊이 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 시민의 힘으로 여성친화도시가 더욱 확산될 수 있도록 행복진흥원이 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
