충남 예산군이 하천에 자생하는 갈대를 자원화해 축산용 조사료로 활용하는 새로운 농업 모델을 선보였다고 27일 밝혔다.
군은 삽교천과 무한천 일대 하천부지에서 ‘갈대 조사료 생산 연시회’를 열고, 갈대를 사일리지 등 조사료로 전환하는 전 과정을 현장에서 시연했다.
이번 연시회는 방치되던 하천 갈대를 수확해 자원으로 되살리는 동시에, 축산 농가의 사료비 부담을 완화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 자리로 마련됐다. 현장에는 예산군 관계자, 예산축협, 조사료경영체 회원, 지역 축산인 등 100여 명이 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.
