(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 산곡남중학교가 지난 27일, 충북 제천 청풍명월하키경기장에서 열린 제68회 전국종별하키선수권대회에서 제천중을 3-2로 승리하며 우승컵을 차지하는 영예를 안았다.
산곡남중은 올해 3학년 선수들로 주로 구성됐지만, 지난 4월에 열린 협회장기대회와 5월 전국소년체육대회까지 8강전에서 충남 아산중에 패하며 우승 도전이 좌절됐지만 이번 대회에선 달랐다.
대회 조별 예선에서 B조에 속한 산곡남중은 3전 전승으로 4강에 진출했으며, 준결승에서 A조 2위 용산중에 2-1로 승리한 산곡남중은 제천중마저 결승에서 승리함으로 올해 첫 전국대회 정상에 등극했다.
제63회 대회 이후 5년 만에 종별선수권대회 우승기를 들어 올렸고 산곡남중의 변인규는 최우수선수(MVP)에 선정됐으며, 노치현 감독과 윤창민 코치는 각각 감독상과 지도자상을 받았다.
