2일 대구 중구는 대봉동 웨딩거리 내 반월정 한옥웨딩에서 다문화가정을 위한 전통혼례식을 열었다고 밝혔다.
이번 혼례식은 대봉동 웨딩거리 상점가상인회(회장 김주형)가 주관한 행사로, 결혼이민자 부부에게 특별한 추억을 선물하고 한국 전통문화를 직접 체험할 수 있도록 기획됐다.
이날 혼례식의 주인공은 결혼 후에도 경제적 이유 등으로 식을 올리지 못했던 부부. 상인회는 이들을 위해 혼례복부터 메이크업, 촬영, 예식 준비까지 전 과정을 무료로 지원했다. 혼례는 점촉식, 전안례, 교배례, 합근례 등 전통 예법을 고스란히 따랐으며, 웨딩거리를 배경으로 펼쳐진 고즈넉한 한옥 예식이 지나가는 시민들의 발걸음도 멈추게 했다.
류규하 중구청장도 현장을 찾아 고천문을 낭독하고 두 사람의 앞날을 축복했다. 류 청장은 “이 부부가 문화의 차이를 넘어 진정한 가족으로 자리 잡길 바란다”며 “이처럼 따뜻한 자리를 마련해준 상인회에도 감사드린다”고 전했다.
이번 혼례는 단순한 행사를 넘어 다문화가정의 지역사회 정착을 응원하고, 전통문화의 아름다움을 다시금 조명하는 뜻깊은 시도로 평가받고 있다.
