이번 전시는 ‘부끄러워지기 전에 알아야 할 그림 이야기: 인상주의부터 팝아트까지’를 주제로 오는 7월 7일부터 8월 27일까지 포스코 포항 본사에서 열린다. 전시는 평일에만 운영되며 무료 관람이 가능하다.
전시장에는 모네, 고흐, 마티스 등 서양미술 거장들의 대표작을 기반으로 제작된 레플리카 작품 60여 점이 전시된다. 단순한 감상을 넘어 작품의 배경과 의미를 알기 쉽게 전달하는 도슨트(전문 해설사) 해설이 함께 진행되어, 누구나 쉽게 명화의 세계에 몰입할 수 있도록 꾸며졌다.
도슨트 해설은 하루 4차례 운영되며, 전화(☏ 054-220-0311)를 통한 사전 예약이나 당일 현장 접수로 참여할 수 있다. 특히 지역 기관, 학교, 어린이집 등을 위한 별도 해설 투어도 마련되어 지역사회와의 소통 확대에도 나선다.
이와 함께 포스코 임직원과 자녀들을 위한 가족 체험 프로그램도 눈길을 끈다. 전시 해설과 함께 테라리움·라탄 공예 등 만들기 체험이 포함된 ‘도슨트 투어 및 공예 체험’ 프로그램을 통해 어린이들에게도 재미있고 유익한 문화 경험을 선사한다.
포스코 포항제철소 관계자는 “작품에 대한 해설 요청이 많았던 서울 전시 관람객들의 피드백을 반영해 이번 전시에는 교육형 콘텐츠를 강화했다”며, “앞으로도 예술의 문턱을 낮추고 포스코갤러리가 시민들과 임직원 모두의 문화 쉼터로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
