【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경상북도교육청이 국제 바칼로레아(IB) 교육 철학과 실천 역량 강화를 위한 특별 연수 프로그램을 선보이며 교육 현장의 관심을 모으고 있다.
오는 10일 경산교육지원청에서 개최되는 ‘IB 관리자 연수: I be Leader’는 IB 교육 철학을 바탕으로 학교 경영과 리더십 혁신에 초점을 맞춘다. 도내 초·중·고 관리자 133명이 참여하는 이번 연수는 IB 핵심 개념과 각자의 교육 철학을 연결해 지속 가능한 학교 문화를 만드는 전략을 함께 모색하는 자리다.
연수는 전체 강의와 학교급별 사례 발표로 구성된다. 대구서부고 장태성 교장이 ‘IB에서 배우는 리더십과 학교 문화’를 주제로 방향성을 제시하고, 삼영초·대명중·대구서부고의 관리자들이 각 급별 IB 학교 운영 사례를 공유하며 실질적인 경영 노하우를 전달한다.
이어 25일 대구가톨릭대학교에서는 ‘IB 기초 수업 설계 워크숍: I be Friends 우리, IB로 연결되다’가 열린다. 초·중·고 교원 90명이 동료 교사와 팀을 이루어 IB 수업 설계를 직접 실습하며, 탐구 중심 수업과 ATL(학습자 특성 및 태도) 요소를 교육 현장에 적용하는 방법을 익히게 된다.
워크숍은 수업 설계 이론 강의와 협업을 통한 수업안 작성, 그리고 상호 피드백 세션으로 구성된다. 교사들은 교과 경계를 넘어 융합형 과제를 주제로 실제 수업에 적용 가능한 계획을 공동 개발하며 전문성을 키우고 협업 문화를 경험한다.
이번 연수 프로그램은 경북교육청의 교육 혁신 가속화를 위한 전략으로 관리자와 교사들이 IB 철학을 중심으로 학교 문화를 변화시키고 학생 중심 교육을 확대할 수 있도록 맞춤형 지원을 강화하는 데 주력하고 있다.
경북교육청 관계자는 “이번 연수가 관리자와 교사 모두의 리더십과 수업 역량을 크게 높이는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “학교 현장 상황에 맞는 IB 교육 모델이 확산돼 지속 가능한 교육 혁신으로 이어지길 기대한다”고 말했다.

The workshop consists of lesson design theory lectures, collaborative lesson plan writing, and mutual feedback sessions. Teachers will jointly develop plans applicable to actual classes on integrated assignments that go beyond subject boundaries, thereby increasing their expertise and experiencing a culture of collaboration.
This training program is a strategy for accelerating educational innovation in the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, and focuses on strengthening customized support so that administrators and teachers can change school cultures centered on the IB philosophy and expand student-centered education.
An official from the Gyeongbuk Office of Education said, “This training will be an opportunity to greatly enhance the leadership and teaching capabilities of both administrators and teachers,” and “We hope that the IB education model that fits the situation of the school field will spread and lead to sustainable educational innovation.”
