【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단(이사장 배광식) 소속 구수산도서관이 문화체육관광부 주최 ‘도서관 다문화서비스 지원사업’에 9년 연속 선정되며, 오는 7월부터 12월까지 다채로운 다문화 프로그램을 운영한다.
올해는 ‘다(多)양한 소리로 만나는 다(多)문화 세상’을 주제로, 대구북구가족센터와 협력해 총 5개 과정, 31회차에 걸친 체험 중심 프로그램이 마련됐다.
대표 프로그램으로는 ▲나라별 문화 상자를 활용한 ‘상자 속 다(多)문화 세상’, ▲결혼이주여성과 함께하는 ‘도서관에서 즐기는 세계문화 축제’, ▲다국어 동화 콘텐츠로 구성된 ‘다른 나라 그림책이 궁금해요’ 등이 운영된다. 참가자들은 각국의 전통놀이와 공예, 다양한 문화적 배경을 체험하며 상호문화를 이해하는 시간을 갖는다.
또한, 다문화가정 참여자들의 역량을 키우는 교육도 함께 진행된다. ‘엄마나라 이야기를 들려줄게’에서는 결혼이주여성들이 자국의 설화와 민담을 바탕으로 다국어 그림책을 제작하고, ‘엄마아빠와 떠나는 그림책 여행’은 K-그림책을 활용한 동화구연 교육으로 가족 중심의 독서활동을 지원한다.
구수산도서관 관계자는 “다국어 그림책을 매개로 다양한 문화를 함께 체험하고 존중하는 기회를 제공하고자 한다”며, “도서관이 지역사회 내 문화다양성과 포용성의 중심 공간으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Participants will have time to understand each other’s cultures by experiencing traditional games and crafts from each country and various cultural backgrounds.
Education to enhance the capabilities of multicultural family participants will also be provided. In ‘I’ll Tell You Stories from My Mother’, married immigrant women create multilingual picture books based on their own country’s folktales and tales, and ‘Picture Book Journey with Mom and Dad’ supports family-centered reading activities through storytelling education using K-picture books.
An official from Gususan Library said, “We want to provide opportunities to experience and respect various cultures together through multilingual picture books,” and “We will work to establish the library as a central space for cultural diversity and inclusion within the local community.”
