충남 서산시가 비정규직 근로자들의 처우 개선을 위한 실태조사 연구용역 최종보고회를 성공적으로 개최하며, 이들의 권익 향상을 위한 정책 마련에 박차를 가하고 있다.
서산시는 지난 8일 시청 중회의실에서 홍순광 부시장을 비롯한 관계 부서장, 노동 분야 전문가 등 14명이 참석한 가운데 ‘서산시 비정규직근로자 실태조사 연구용역’ 최종보고회를 열었다.
시는 올해 3월부터 비정규직 근로자들의 근로조건을 면밀히 파악하고, 이를 향상시킬 수 있는 정책 방향과 시책을 마련하고자 이번 용역을 추진해 왔다.
이번 연구용역을 수행한 사단법인 ‘내 일의 내일’은 보고회에서 과업 개요 및 연구 방법, 서산시 노동시장 분석, 직종별 세부 조사 및 지원 방안 등 주요 연구 결과를 발표했다. 특히, 현재 서산시 비정규직 근로자 비율이 43%에 달하며 이들의 임금 수준은 정규직의 약 57% 수준이라는 분석 결과가 제시되어 참석자들의 이목을 집중시켰다.
참석자들은 용역사의 연구 결과를 경청하고, 서산시가 비정규직 근로자들의 노동 환경을 실질적으로 개선하기 위해 추진해야 할 사항들에 대해 다양한 의견을 제시하며 열띤 논의를 이어갔다.
