(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교가 10일, 해양학과 김장균 교수 연구팀의 해조류 양식 및 품종 개발 관련 연구가 글로벌 환경 다큐멘터리 Seaweed Stories에 한국 대표 사례로 소개됐다고 밝혔다.
인천대에 따르면, Seaweed Stories는 해조류를 활용한 자연 기반 솔루션이 어떻게 기후변화, 해양 생태계 붕괴, 플라스틱 오염 등 복합적인 환경 위기를 해결할 수 있는지를 세계 각국의 생생한 사례를 통해 조명한 작품이다.
헐리우드 배우 포레스트 휘태커(Forest Whitaker)가 나레이션을 맡았으며, 제이크 섬너(Jake Sumner)가 감독과 프로듀서를 맡아 제작했으며, 이 작품은 Lonely Whale가 기획하고, Re:wild와 협력해 공동 제작됐다.
