[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군 대양면에 있는 정양늪 생태공원은 합천 8경 중의 한 곳으로 7월부터 11월까지 화려한 색의 옷으로 갈아입고 방문객들을 기다리고 있다.
2025년 찾아온 여름의 정양늪은 짙은 녹색의 연잎으로 가득하고 그 사이로 백련과 홍련이 꽃을 피워 아름다운 자태로 바람결에 흔들리며, 유혹하는 모습에 탐방객들은 자연스럽게 휴대전화를 꺼내 들고 그 모습을 촬영하기도 한다.
연잎 위로 날아다니는 다양한 잠자리들 밑으로 호시탐탐 잠자리들이 내려앉기만을 기다리고 있는 금개구리들의 시선 속에 텃새가 되어버린 청둥오리들이 어린 새끼들을 데리고 유유히 헤엄치며 연잎 사이로 숨는다.

그중에서도 어린이들이 가장 좋아하는 나비잠자리가 연꽃봉우리 위에 앉아 햇빛의 방향에 따라 화려한 색으로 변화하는 모습에 아이는 눈을 떼지 못하고 잡고 있던 부모의 손을 놓고 한참을 쳐다보기도 한다.
정양늪생태공원 내에는 생태학습관과 정양늪 생명 길, 관찰 데크 등이 조성돼 있으며, 정양늪 생태 학습체험장을 운영하고 있어 정양늪 환경 생태 해설사의 도움으로 동식물들을 찾아보고 관찰할 수 있다.
