【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 지역 어르신들의 경제적 자립과 사회 참여 확대를 위한 노인 일자리 사업이 활기를 띠고 있다. 대구 중구청과 북구청은 최근 시니어클럽과 함께 노인일자리 창출매장을 각각 개점하며, 고령화 시대에 맞춘 실질적인 일자리 지원에 나섰다.
중구청(구청장 류규하)은 지난달 성내2동 생활문화센터 1층에 ‘마실김밥 4호점’을 새롭게 열었다. 이 매장은 대구중구시니어클럽이 운영하는 대표적인 노인일자리 브랜드로, 1~3호점에 이어 이번 4호점까지 지역 사회에 안정적인 어르신 일자리를 제공해오고 있다.
4호점은 대구 중구청이 생활문화센터 공간을 무상으로 제공하면서 성사됐다. 총 16명의 어르신이 오전·오후 교대근무로 운영에 참여하고 있으며, 공공시설을 활용한 모범적인 사회환원 사례로 평가받고 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 “공공자산을 활용한 마실김밥은 어르신들에게 실질적인 소득과 사회참여 기회를 제공하는 모범 모델”이라며 “행정적·제도적 뒷받침을 통해 더욱 내실 있게 키워가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 북구청은 대구북구시니어클럽과 함께 침산동에 노인일자리 창출매장 ‘빵떡대장(침산점)’을 개점했다. 공동체사업단 형태로 운영되는 이 매장은 총 30명의 어르신이 교대근무로 참여하며, 떡과 빵을 1,000원에 판매하는 착한가게다.
판매 품목은 부드러운 가래떡과 찹쌀떡, 크림 카스테라, 오란다 등 남녀노소 누구나 좋아할 메뉴로 구성돼 있으며, 단체 주문과 배달도 가능해 지역 내 행사나 간식용으로도 기대를 모으고 있다.
배광식 북구청장은 “빵떡대장은 어르신들의 경제적 자립은 물론 지역과의 교류를 이어가는 소통의 공간이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 노인 일자리 확대를 통해 어르신들의 삶에 활력을 더하겠다”고 밝혔다.
대구의 두 자치구는 이번 매장 개점을 통해 단순한 일자리 제공을 넘어, 지역사회와 함께하는 공동체 기반의 노인 일자리 모델을 제시하고 있다.

Meanwhile, Buk-gu Office, together with Daegu Buk-gu Senior Club, opened a senior citizen job creation store, ‘Bbangtteokdaejang (Chimsan Branch)’ in Chimsan-dong. This store, which is operated as a community business group, is a good store where 30 senior citizens work in shifts and sell rice cakes and bread for 1,000 won.
The items for sale consist of soft garaetteok, chapssaltteok, cream castella, and oranda, which are menus that everyone, regardless of age or gender, will enjoy. Group orders and delivery are also available, so it is expected to be popular for local events or as a snack.
Baek Gwang-sik, the mayor of Buk-gu, said, “The Bbangtteokdaejang will be a space of communication that will not only help seniors become economically independent but also continue to interact with the local community,” and added, “We will continue to add vitality to the lives of seniors by expanding jobs for seniors.”
Through the opening of this store, the two autonomous districts of Daegu are presenting a model of community-based senior jobs that go beyond simply providing jobs and work together with the local community.
