(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 16일, 최근 주민이 예산 과정에 참여하는 제1차 주민참여예산위원회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 주민참여예산위원회는 당해 연도 추진사업에 대한 의견 제출과 다음 연도 예산 반영을 위한 제안사업 심의 등 예산의 전 과정에 대한 주민들의 참여를 보장하기 위해 개최됐다.
남동구 주민참여예산위원회는 추진사업에 대한 의견 제출, 예산 수반 주민 제안사업 심의, 예산 낭비 신고 등의 역할을 한다.
남동구는 신규 위원 8명에게 위촉장을 수여한 후, 위원장, 부위원장, 각 분과위원장 선출에 이어 주민참여예산위원 대상으로 역량 강화 교육을 했다.
남동구는 올해 4~5월 주민참여예산 제안사업 공모를 통해 구 소관 제안사업을 90건 접수했다.
관련 부서에서 제안사업 검토 후, 남동구 주민참여예산위원회에서 8월 중 심의할 예정이다.
아울러, 온라인 주민 투표(8월), 예산안 편성 및 남동구 의회 심의 및 의결(9~12월)을 거쳐 12월에 예산 편성 여부가 최종적으로 결정될 예정이다.
박종효 구청장은 “한정된 예산이 올바른 곳에 쓰이고 주민의 삶이 향상될 수 있도록, 위원 모두가 자부심을 가지고 활동에 임해주시기를 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.
