(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 지난 15일 구청 영상회의실에서 생활보장위원회 위원 및 관계 공무원 17명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2025년 제2회 생활보장위원회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 이날 회의에서는 사회보장 분야 전문가와 공익대표자 등 5명을 신규 위촉했으며, 기초수급자 선정 및 긴급지원 대상자 심의 안건 등이 다뤄졌다.
또한, 생활보장위원회 산하 소위원회에서 심의·의결한 사항에 대한 본위원회 보고도 함께 진행됐다.
세부 내용으로는 가족관계 해체 및 사실상 이혼 등으로 인한 수급자 선정 관련 26세대 36명, 긴급지원 연장 및 지원 중단 등 적정성 심의 관련 8세대 12명, 2025년 상반기 소위원회 사후보고 사항 관련 204세대 283명에 대한 사항이 포함됐다.
계양구는 위원회 심의에 따라 국민기초생활보장 수급자격과 급여의 적정성을 확인하고, 긴급지원 사후조사 결과 거짓이나 부정한 방법으로 지원받은 경우에는 지원 중단 및 환수 조치를 진행할 예정이다.
또, 부양의무자의 부양 거부·기피로 실질적으로 도움을 받지 못하는 가구를 선제적으로 발굴해 복지 사각지대 해소와 긴급복지 지원도 강화할 계획이다.
윤환 구청장은 “구민의 기본생활 보장 강화와 복지 사각지대 없는 계양을 만들기 위해 행정 역량을 집중해 달라.”고 당부하며, “소외된 가정이 실제로 도움을 받을 수 있도록 선제적인 정책 추진과 촘촘한 사회안전망 구축에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
