한설 예비역 장군(육군 소장)은 7월17일 인터넷 저널인 페이스북에 “절박한 태세전환의 시기, 미국의 시대 이후에 우리는 어떻게 할 것인가?” 제목의 글을 게재했다. 이 글에서 “미국은 이미 정점을 지나서 하락하고 있다. 하락은 막을 수 없으며 점점 가속도가 붙어서 하락은 빨라질 것”이라고 지적했다.
