포항 양배추, 첫 수출 물량 18톤 대만 향해 출하…연간 500톤 계약 성사

이번에 수출된 양배추는 포항시 북구 죽장면 상옥리 일대에서 재배된 고품질 채소로, 탄탄한 품질 관리와 유통 효율화를 통해 대만 시장에 성공적으로 진출했다. 현지 소비자들의 까다로운 품질 기준을 통과해 해외 시장에서도 포항 농산물의 경쟁력을 다시금 입증했다는 평가다.

포항시는 양배추 재배 농가의 판로 안정과 소득 증대를 위해 수년간 수출 기반을 꾸준히 다져왔다. 품질 향상, 물류 시스템 개선, 수출업체와의 협업이 이번 성과의 핵심 요인으로 작용했다.

이상범 포항시 농식품유통과장은 “포항 양배추의 올해 첫 수출은 농가에 큰 활력을 불어넣는 소중한 시작”이라며 “앞으로도 수출 품목 다변화와 고품질 농산물 생산을 통해 지역 농업의 지속 가능한 발전을 도모하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 포항시는 올 하반기 해외 유력 바이어를 초청해 수출 상담회를 열고, 현지 마케팅 및 심포지엄 개최를 통해 포항 농식품의 글로벌 시장 진출을 더욱 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
