【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 구수산도서관이 어린이들을 위한 특별한 여름밤을 준비했다.
도서관은 여름방학을 맞아 다음달 23일부터 24일까지 1박 2일 동안 'Let’s Build! 레고 로봇 코딩캠프'를 운영한다.
초등학교 4학년을 대상으로 진행되는 이번 캠프는 도서관에서의 하룻밤이라는 비일상적 공간 경험과, 레고를 활용한 창의적 활동이 결합된 체험형 독서 프로그램이다.
참가 어린이들은 ‘레고 에듀케이션 스파이크 에센셜 앱’을 통해 코딩의 기초를 익히고, 색상 감지 장치와 캠프장을 직접 만들어보는 실습에 참여한다. 이어 팀별로 움직이는 레고 공연장을 설계하고 제작한 뒤, 센서와 코딩을 통해 자신들만의 무대를 구현하는 미니 쇼케이스도 펼친다.
밤이 깊어질수록 도서관은 또 다른 탐험의 공간으로 변신한다. 책 속 미션을 수행하는 조별 프로그램부터 영화 감상까지, 어린이들이 도서관과 더욱 친숙해질 수 있도록 구성됐다.
도서관 관계자는 “이번 캠프는 책과 기술, 협업이 어우러지는 창의적 놀이의 장”이라며 “어린이들이 도서관을 더욱 흥미롭고 즐거운 공간으로 기억할 수 있길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Gususan Library of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation has prepared a special summer night for children.
To coincide with summer vacation, the library will host the "Let's Build! Lego Robot Coding Camp" for two days and one night from the 23rd to the 24th of next month.
This camp, designed for fourth graders, is an experiential reading program that combines the extraordinary experience of a night at the library with creative activities using Lego.
Participating children will learn the basics of coding through the "Lego Education Spike Essentials App" and participate in hands-on activities, building color-sensing devices and campsites. Teams will then design and build a moving Lego performance stage, then create their own mini-showcase using sensors and coding.
As the night deepens, the library transforms into a space of exploration. From group programs where children complete missions from books to watching movies, the camp is designed to help children become more familiar with the library.
“This camp is a creative play space where books, technology, and collaboration come together,” said a library official. “We hope that children will remember the library as an even more interesting and enjoyable space.”
