【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단과 상주단체 트래덜반이 함께 제작한 악가무 종합예술공연 '끝없는 항해, 보트피플'이 지난 24일 마지막 공연을 끝으로 성료했다.
전석 초대로 진행된 이번 공연은 모든 회차가 매진되며 흥행을 기록했다.
'끝없는 항해, 보트피플'은 트래덜반 소속 네 명의 예술가가 함께 기획해 난민을 바라보는 우리의 시선과 타자화된 인간에 대한 자기 성찰을 주제로 깊은 울림을 전했다.
누구나 차별 없이 문화예술을 누릴 수 있는 '열린 무대'를 지향하며, 난민이라는 사회적 이슈를 다양한 예술 언어로 풀어낸 공연은 전통무용과 현대적 연출을 접목해 관객석을 무대의 일부로 활용하는 등 몰입형 방식으로 관객의 참여를 유도했다.
실제 난민과의 심층 인터뷰를 바탕으로 제작한 다큐멘터리 영상을 무대에 활용해 예술적 메시지에 사실성과 진정성을 더했다.
이번 작품은 2023년 초연된 '바다의 아우슈비츠 - 보트피플'에서 출발해 2024년 'ver.2'를 거쳐 진화해 온 보트피플 시리즈의 최신작이다.
이 시리즈는 난민을 단순한 사회문제가 아닌 정체성과 인간 존엄성의 문제로 확장하며, 전통과 현대를 넘나드는 독창적 예술 표현으로 주목받아 왔다.
특히 이번 공연에는 대구예술대학교 국제교육원 외국인 학생 100여 명이 관람해 문화 교류의 폭을 넓혔다.

The "Endless Voyage, Boat People," a comprehensive musical performance co-produced by the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation and the resident group Tradulban, concluded its final performance on the 24th.

This work is the latest in the Boat People series, which began with "Auschwitz of the Sea - Boat People," which premiered in 2023, and evolved into "Version 2" in 2024.
This series has garnered attention for its unique artistic expression that transcends tradition and modernity, expanding refugee issues beyond mere social issues to encompass issues of identity and human dignity.
This performance was particularly noteworthy, attracting approximately 100 international students from the Daegu Arts University International Education Center, broadening the scope of cultural exchange.
