서천군, 청년농업인 대상 ‘AI 스마트농업 전략’ 교육

충남 서천군이 디지털 전환 가속화에 발맞춰 청년농업인의 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 인공지능(AI) 특화 교육과정을 마련하고, 본격적인 교육생 모집에 나섰다.

군은 오는 9월 1일부터 3일까지 3일간 서천군청사 정보화 교육장에서 ‘청년농업인 AI 스마트농업 전략 수립 교육’을 운영한다고 30일 밝혔다. 이번 교육은 오후 1시부터 6시까지 하루 5시간씩 총 15시간으로 편성됐으며, 군에 거주하는 만 18세 이상 45세 이하 청년농업인을 대상으로 선착순 30명을 모집한다.

해당 프로그램은 서천군농업기술센터 인력육성팀이 처음으로 기획한 생성형 인공지능 기반 농업 교육으로, 단순 이론 전달을 넘어 실제 현장 적용이 가능한 실습 중심 커리큘럼을 갖췄다는 점에서 주목된다. 교육 구성은 이론 30%, 실습 70%의 비율로 실질적인 체험과 문제 해결 능력 향상에 초점을 맞췄다.

교육 과정에는 챗지피티(ChatGPT), 클라우드 기반 분석 툴 등 최신 AI 기술을 농업 경영 전략 수립에 어떻게 접목할 수 있을지에 대한 실무적 접근이 포함된다. 참가자는 다양한 AI 도구의 사용법은 물론, 이를 통해 농업 생산성과 유통 효율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 직접 설계하고 응용하는 역량을 기르게 된다.

서천군 관계자는 “이번 교육은 도구 중심의 단편적인 활용을 넘어, 청년농업인 스스로가 농업 현장의 문제를 주도적으로 분석하고 해결할 수 있는 능력을 갖추도록 돕는 데 중점을 두고 있다”고 설명했다.

교육 신청은 오는 8월 8일 오후 6시까지 서천군농업기술센터 본관 2층 인력육성팀(서천군 마서면 장서로 689)을 방문해 신청서를 작성하면 된다. 

접수는 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시 사이에 가능하며, 점심시간과 주말은 제외된다. 보다 구체적인 사항은 농업기술센터 홈페이지 또는 군 자유게시판을 통해 확인할 수 있다.
