행복북구문화재단 태전도서관이 여름방학을 맞아 운영하는 특별한 독서캠프는 '도서관 속 1박 2일 세계여행'을 주제로 한다.
그림책과 다양한 체험을 통해 세계 문화를 간접 경험하는 것이 핵심으로 초등학교 3학년 학생 20명을 대상으로 8월 23일 오후 5시부터 다음날 오전 9시까지 진행된다.
주요 프로그램은 체험과 놀이 중심으로 구성했다. '세계 문화 탐험대'에서는 미국 원주민 인디언 전통 의상을 체험하고, 일본 주먹밥인 오니기리와 멕시코 음식 타코를 직접 만들어본다. '놀면서 만나는 세계'에서는 중국과 일본, 베트남, 러시아 등의 문화를 놀이로 배운다.
조별 미션을 수행하는 '책 속 보물찾기'와 다문화 관련 영화 감상 시간도 마련했다. 아이들이 도서관이라는 공간에서 색다른 경험을 쌓을 수 있도록 구성한 것이 특징이다.
도서관 관계자는 "아이들이 도서관에서의 하룻밤을 통해 세계 문화에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 친구들과 특별한 추억을 쌓는 시간이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

A unique program is being held to experience world cultures overnight at a library.
The Taejeon Library of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation is hosting a special summer reading camp themed "A Two-Day, One-Night World Tour in the Library."
The camp, designed to indirectly experience world cultures through picture books and various hands-on activities, will be held for 20 third-grade elementary school students from 5:00 PM on August 23rd to 9:00 AM the following day.
The program focuses on hands-on activities and play. In the "World Culture Exploration," students will try on traditional Native American clothing and make Japanese onigiri and Mexican tacos. In the "World Through Play," students will learn about the cultures of China, Japan, Vietnam, and Russia through play.
The camp also features a "Book Treasure Hunt," where group missions are conducted, and a multicultural film screening. The camp is designed to provide children with unique experiences within the library.
“We hope that this overnight stay at the library will help children broaden their understanding of world cultures and create special memories with their friends,” library officials said.
