【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이사장 배기철, 이하 대구행복진흥원)은 지난달 29일 ‘와글와글 아이세상’을 정식 개관하고 본격 운영에 들어갔다.
대구 동구 숙천동에 문을 연 ‘와글와글 아이세상’은 놀이와 문화, 체험을 아우르는 창의융합형 공간으로, 어린이는 물론 온 가족이 함께 이용할 수 있다.
공간은 영유아 전용 놀이실, 실감형 VR 체험실, 가족 도서관, 유아·아동 체험실 등으로 구성돼 있다.
2층에는 ‘튼튼체육관’이 마련돼 유아 및 초등학생을 위한 실내 체육 프로그램이 정기적으로 운영된다. 향후 체육 행사와 놀이활동을 위한 대관 서비스도 제공할 예정이다.
소극장에서는 어린이와 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 공연과 문화 행사가 순차적으로 진행될 계획이다.
배기철 이사장은 “‘와글와글 아이세상’은 어린이가 상상하고 표현하며 행복하게 성장할 수 있는 공간”이라며 “아이와 가족이 함께 성장하는 지역사회를 만들기 위한 의미 있는 첫걸음이며, 앞으로도 다각적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Chairman Bae Ki-cheol said, “‘Waggle Waggle Children’s World’ is a space where children can imagine, express themselves, and grow happily,” and added, “It is a meaningful first step toward creating a community where children and families can grow together, and we will not spare our support in various ways going forward.”
