[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 기후위기를 주제로 한 국내 유일의 영화제 제4회 ‘하나뿐인지구영상제’가 20개국 49편의 작품을 상영하며 오는 21일 영화의 전당에서 개막된다.
영상제 조직위원회는 "오는 21~ 25일까지 부산 영화의 전당에서 개최되는 이번 영화제가 '예술과 영상의 언어로 기후위기의 진실'을 응시하고, 공감과 연대를 통해 변화의 물결을 만들어가고자 한다”고 밝혔다.

2025년 영상제의 주제는 ‘희망(HOPE)’이다. 진재운 집행위원장은 “기후위기가 초래하는 무력감과 ‘기후 우울증’이 퍼진 시대에, 우리가 바꿀 수 있다는 희망의 메시지를 제시하고자 한다”고 설명했다.
21일 오후 7시 영화의전당 야외무대에서 상영될 개막작은 세계적인 환경운동가 '제인 구달'의 여정을 따라가는 다큐멘터리 <제인 구달 - 희망의 이유>로 선정됐다. 이 작품은 “왜 우리가 여전히 희망을 말해야 하는지”에 대한 묵직한 메시지를 전달한다.
진 집행위원장은 “개막식은 오는 21일, 오후 무더위 속 야외극장에서 진행된다"며 "무더위를 직접 체감하며 기후위기를 몸소 느끼자는 취지”라고 의도를 전했다.

■ 20개국 49편 상영… 국내 최초 공개 28편, 월드 프리미어 3편
올해 영화제에는 전 세계 138개국에서 출품된 총 2,303편 중 20개국 49편의 작품이 상영된다. 이 중 28편은 국내 최초 공개, 3편은 세계 최초 공개(월드 프리미어), 7편은 인터내셔널 프리미어, 5편은 아시아 최초 공개, 13편은 국내 영화다.
부대행사로는 하나뿐인지구 컨퍼런스(Earth Class)와 환경전문가 토크(Ecp-professional Talks)가 진행된다.

3일 오전 10시 30분에는 기욤 마이다체프스키 감독의 다큐멘터리 《키나와 유크(Kina & Yuk)》가 시네마테크에서 상영된 후, 허아람 인디고 서원 대표가 전문가로 참여해 영화의 메시지와 현재 환경 현실에 대해 관객과 이야기를 나눈다.
같은 날 오후 5시 30분에는 세계적인 예술가 아이 웨이웨이 감독의 작품 《애니멀리티(Animality)》가 시네마테크에서 상영되며, 이후에는 이찬우 경남생태관광협회 회장이 전문가로, 박미혜 경남지방변호사회 인권위원회 위원장이 모더레이터로 참여하여 동물과 인간, 생명 윤리에 대한 토론을 진행한다.
