【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구청(구청장 조재구)은 꿈의 무용단 ‘대구 남구’가 꿈의 무용단 ‘칠곡’과 함께 ‘한국무용과 현대무용의 교류 워크숍’을 성료했다고 19일 밝혔다.
지난 13일 칠곡 향사아트센터에서 열린 워크숍은 탈춤 동작 익히기, 전통 탈 만들기, 현대무용의 기본 움직임 배우기, 팀별 창작 안무 구상 등으로 진행됐다.
참가자들은 전통과 현대무용의 움직임 언어를 직접 체득하며 자신만의 감정과 아이디어를 표현하는 시간을 가졌다.
남구 무용단은 이를 바탕으로 오는 11월 15일 정기공연 ‘내 꿈의 시작, 별빛 숲(가제)’을 개최한다.
공연에서는 워크숍에서 만들어진 창작 요소를 활용해 한국무용과 창작무용의 융합 무대를 선보일 예정이다.
조재구 남구청장은 “전통의 깊이와 현대의 감각이 만나는 과정에서 청소년들이 춤의 매력을 새롭게 느꼈길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 예술의 가치를 나누는 다양한 프로그램을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Nam-gu District Mayor Cho Jae-gu said, “I hope that young people will discover the charm of dance in a new way through the process of combining the depth of tradition with a modern sensibility,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various programs that share the value of art with the local community.”
