유영일 경기도의원, 범계로데오 상권 활성화 기여로 감사패 수상

경기도의회 유영일 도시환경위원회 부위원장(국민의힘, 안양5)이 지난 8월 21일 범계로데오상인연합회로부터 상권 활성화에 기여한 공로로 감사패를 받았다.

방금숙 범계로데오상인연합회장은 “항상 상인들의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 현장을 직접 챙기며 실질적인 지원을 해주신 유영일 의원님께 감사의 뜻을 전한다”고 밝혔다.

유영일 의원은 2024년 전통시장 시설현대화 사업을 통해 범계로데오 거리의 노후 화장실을 현대식으로 개선, 방문객과 상인 모두가 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있는 환경을 마련했다. 이를 통해 코로나19 이후 침체됐던 상권이 다시 활기를 되찾는 데 큰 역할을 했다.

또한 2025년에는 폭염으로 인한 방문객 감소 문제를 해결하기 위해 약 2억8000만 원의 경기도 특별조정교부금을 확보, ‘쿨링포그’ 설치 사업을 추진했다. 이번 사업은 무더위 속에서도 시원하고 쾌적한 쇼핑환경을 제공해 상권 경쟁력을 높이는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

유영일 의원은 “범계로데오 거리가 더운 여름에도 시민들이 안심하고 찾을 수 있는 공간이 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 현장의 목소리를 꼼꼼히 살피며 지역 상권 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Practical Support Including Modernizing Old Restrooms and Installing Cooling Fog Systems

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Yoo Young-il (People Power Party, Anyang 5), Vice Chair of the Urban Environment Committee, received a plaque of appreciation from the Beomgye Rodeo Merchants Association on August 21 for his contributions to revitalizing the commercial district.

Beomgye Rodeo Merchants Association President Mak Geum-sook stated, "I would like to express my gratitude to Council Member Yoo Young-il for always listening to the voices of merchants, personally attending to the needs of the field, and providing practical support."

Assembly Member Yoo Young-il, through the 2024 Traditional Market Facility Modernization Project, renovated the old restrooms on Beomgye Rodeo Street to modernized ones, creating a pleasant environment for both visitors and merchants. This has played a significant role in revitalizing the commercial district, which had been stagnant since the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, to address the decline in visitors due to heat waves, the city secured approximately KRW 280 million in Gyeonggi Province special adjustment grants in 2025 to implement a "cooling fog" installation project. This project is expected to enhance the competitiveness of the commercial district by providing a cool and comfortable shopping environment even during the sweltering heat.

Councilmember Yoo Young-il stated, "I hope that Beomgye Rodeo Street will become a safe and comfortable place for citizens to visit even during the hot summer months. We will continue to listen closely to feedback from the field and do our best to develop the local commercial district."
